Want to mix things up a bit? One of my favorites things to do to spice of my salad is to mix a little bit of tangy and a little but of sweet. This Sweet and Tangy Kale Almond Salad does just that! The toasted sliced almonds provide the right amount of crunch and the added nuts have so many benefits — including being rich in fiber which boosts the health of your heart and preventing some forms of cancer.
So what else is so great about this salad? One of the main ingredients is Kale — an amazing Superfood (check out the benefits here)! Kale is packed with packed with Vitamin A, C, and E, as well as fiber and calcium.
After filling your salad with kale and cabbage, add golden raisins and slice almonds. If you even more crunch to your salad, toasted the almonds in the oven for a few minutes. I like to pack toasted almonds for snacking during the week so it’s a win-win.
